Mori’s has always been a good gem to visit when I come back home. It broke my heart to see what the restaurant has evolved into. Mori’s always had a clean aesthetic but that’s no longer the case. And maybe that’s because the place is old now, but it has a weird smell. Like a old home or nursing home. Then, the server, a older woman, she barely knew english and couldn’t understand anything we were saying and kept catching an attitude when we were addressing the issues and needed corrections. Our order was messed up multiple times. The portions from Mori’s have been greatly reduced. For the price of what we got, the portions were skimpy. Atleast, when you go to osaka’s or nagoya you pay more but you get your money’s worth. They provide and better environment, the chef’s show is longer and better, the food quality is better, and they give nice portions with no weird upcharges. like everyone gets fried rice and you upcharge if you want shrimp or chicken added in the rice. I felt jipped out of money after leaving Mori’s. And actually everyone was dissatisfied. Never been to a hibachi restaurant that charged for regular fried rice if its a hibachi grill but apparently they give you steamed rice from the back and grill everything else in front of you. odd but i guess they need every penny they can get any way they can get it. the alcoholic drinks was the only thing that was good. but overall, i won’t be patronizing with mori’s anymore. its just not worth wasting your time and money. and then to see how the owner is being passive aggressive & arguing with paying customers in these reviews comments is distasteful but thats the energy they have in the restaurant as well. so not surprising, just disgusted. they just need a face lift in the restaurant, revise menu and portions and get new management and some staff that want to be there and knows english or atleast know words from the menu. until then, this place is gonna continue to decline until they have no one but themselves.

Ordered a regular size chicken hibachi and a kids shrimp hibachi, only difference in portion was a few more cubes of chicken and a small salad about $10 difference which was questionable based on portions(see pic). If your looking for hibachi worth the price go down the street to Nagoyas, they never disappoint…..

Took my 6 year old granddaughter for her birthday. Worst experience ever… I’ll never go back. They definitely have an issue with false advertising. All hibachi meals come with white rice and if you want fried rice there’s a $3 up charge. My granddaughter ordered the kids chicken meal. They added a $3 up charge on her order too for fried rice. My bill came out to be about $58 and management struggled to explain what I paid for… definitely a language barrier. It’s not worth the money or time. I’ll just continue patronizing Nagoya’s… the food is better and you get more bang for your buck.
